The project

Our brief was to deliver films that showcased Silent Pool Distillers as creators of ‘Intricately Realised’ Silent Pool Gin. To bring the audience’s attention to their uncompromised quality, the connection to the silent pool that sits just outside of the distillery, and how each bottle is hand crafted using their carefully selected 24 botanicals.

The project approach

We set about discovering Silent Pool for ourselves with a recce day, learning how the company creates its internationally acclaimed Silent Pool Gin. To give audiences a full insight into Silent Pool Distillers and what they’re all about, we created UK and International Brand films, four spotlight films that would exhibit key USPs and multiple specifically filmed social media bites to enhance their reach.

Across the four-day shoot, we worked with the Silent Pool team’s schedule to fit with their workload and deliveries throughout the day.

We worked across locations including a local lavender farm and beehive to encompass Silent Pool Distillers’ endeavour to use local produce, using our in-house drone pilot to capture their beautiful location within the Surrey Hills. The most technically difficult shot we produced took several weeks of head-scratching, until we achieved a mesmerising reveal of the bottle floating on top of its namesake, the Silent Pool.

We were fortunate enough to work with film director Ridley Scott’s company, The Mill, to grade the films, bringing together the dazzling copper of the still, the vibrancy of the botanicals, and the clarity of the pool water.
