Drive out of London on the M3 and you’re soon in Hampshire, an enterprising area of the country with many high growth companies along the M3 corridor. This makes it a great area to host a corporate event or for your organisation’s next conference, especially with excellent transport links for international and UK visitors too.
But what is the choice of event venues like, are there venues in Hampshire that have the prestige of London locations, or the cool factor we discovered in Surrey? Well we think so, here are our top picks for your next corporate event.
5 Conference Event Venues In Hampshire
- FIVE At Farnborough
Home of the Farnborough International Airshow, that we can currently hear from our offices just down the road, is FIVE (Farnborough International Venue and Events) a 3,000 sqm permanent event venue and 100,000 sqm site. If you have a conference, exhibition or awards evening / dinner to organise, this flexible space is ideally suited. Transport links are unsurpassed as delegates can fly directly into TAG Farnborough Airport next door, and the M3 is 10 minutes away.
What we like about it: FIVE provides a blank canvas to do whatever you want with the space. This means anything is possible in terms of creating a truly memorable event.
- The Elvetham
40 minutes outside of central London is The Elvetham, an estate set in 35 acres, has a variety of classic and modern rooms available for conferences and meetings. Rooms vary in size with the ‘Library’ accommodating up to 200 people for receptions, or 105 in a theatre configuration.
What we like about it: The old stables have been converted into modern meeting rooms known as The Court, that provide a flexible space away from the main house for a wide range of corporate events.
- Tylney Hall Hotel
Close to the Surrey border at Rotherwick near Basingstoke, Tylney Hall is a Grade II listed period house close to the M3. Conference facilities include 12 different suites offering scope for all kinds of meetings, conferences and corporate activities.
What we like about it: The grounds and gardens are truly stunning, sure to make a great impression on delegates traveling from the city or other countries. We especially like the water gardens.
- Bombay Sapphire Distillery
If you want to get away from hotels and traditional conference venues, a gin distillery is certainly an alternative. 20 minutes from the M3, just passed Basingstoke this venue has six available spaces with capacity ranging from 15 – 200 people in each.
What we like about it: Gin. Apart from that we like the quirky natural of some of the rooms, for example the Vault which is a private area for small meetings or informal gatherings, and the amazing Mediterranean Glasshouse where the botanics are grown: a great space for a drinks reception after the work has been done.
- The University Of Winchester
There are lots of different venues at the University of Winchester across both campuses: The King Alfred Campus and The West Downs Campus. The most popular option for conferences and large corporate events is the Stripe Building with its auditorium, lecture theatre, studios and meeting rooms. The nearby St Alphege Building provides great spaces for breakout rooms and workshop areas too.
What we like about it: The options at the University of Winchester are too many to list here, we highly recommend you explore in more detail.
