It’s a wrap! NRG’s 2019 review

By 19 December 2019October 21st, 2020No Comments

As we approach the end of 2019 and the start of a brand new year, we thought you might appreciate an update on what we’ve been up to over the last 12 months. So, with without further ado, here’s a snapshot of NRG’s 2019!

The NRG rebrand

You may have noticed that we’ve had a rebrand with a new logo, new brand colours and a slightly different style and tone of voice to our branded content. The changes are subtle but we think they’re a better reflection of who we are, what we do and what we want to say about NRG. Watch the video below to see what you think:

We’ve returned to our roots in Fleet!

NRG Digital grew out of Directors Rob and Caroline’s home office in Fleet several years ago and that was the beginning of a few years based in Farnham. However, with our team living in many different towns and villages in the South East, and our clients spread around the country, we didn’t need to remain there so when the opportunity arose we relocated to Fleet.

Our new office is fab-u-lous, providing more space and flexibility than we had before, and is in a fantastic location. We’re surrounded by fields but only 3 minutes from the M3 and 8 minutes from Farnborough Airport. We’ve also got the towns of Fleet and Farnborough on our doorstep with great rail connections.

As you can see from the photos below we’ve made ourselves at home:

NRG success stories

Rob says, “When asked to choose my favourite projects of 2019 it was really hard to narrow it down. But in the end I chose the work we did for HSBC and their Be Inspired recruitment film, and the film we produced for The Layton Collection. As you can see, they’re both very different and really exemplify how brand video content can achieve many different things.”

Staff news

The big news of 2019 was James’ wedding to his fiancé Jess. James is our Head of Production at NRG and our longest serving employee, having freelanced with Rob for several years before joining NRG full time in 2015. By all accounts it was a wonderful day and we wish them both a very happy life together.

In other staff news, we welcomed Nazia, Dom and Conor to NRG. Nazia joins our animation team, Dom is a Junior Editor and Conor is a Production Assistant. The NRG team has grown significantly in the last few years, increasing our internal capacity and skills. Although we still handpick the best freelance talent on the market for some of our productions, having so much inhouse talent is an important part of our success and ability to deliver high quality brand films and animations.

2020 here we come!

There are already several exciting projects planned for 2020, so watch this space for more news and developments. In the meantime we would like to wish all our clients, contractors, suppliers, NRG friends and family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

BTW. The office closes at lunchtime on Tuesday 24th December and reopens on Thursday 2nd January 2020. Please contact us asap for any urgent enquiries, or sit back and relax until the New Year…
